  20 <h1>SIE プロジェクトの目標 - SIE</h1>
  21 <p>「SIE」とは、W3C標準であるScalable Vector Graphics (スケーラブル ベクタ グラフィックス。以下、SVG と表記)をウェブ上で表示するための、オープンソースのソフトウェアです。「SVG」とは、HTMLのようにハイパーリンク機能を有した、ベクタ形式の画像です。</p>
  22 <p>また、「SIE プロジェクト」はSIEを開発するプロジェクトの名前です。私たちのプロジェクトは、ウェブの標準をサポートして、ネットに参加する誰もがSIEのコードを編集でき、利用できるようにします。</p>

  33 <p>SIE プロジェクトでは、ブラウザなどWeb上で、ベクタ形式の画像を表示できるソフトウェア「SIE」を開発します。この画像はウェブの標準であるSVGに準拠します。SVGはハイパーテキストのHTMLと似ており、ハイパーリンクを直接埋め込むことができるようになります。</p>
  34 <h3>2, 「SIE」がオープンソースであること</h3>
  35 <p>SIEのコードのライセンスは、MPL1.1、LGPL2.1 と GPL2.0（あるいはオープンソースに類するライセンス）を採用します。これは、ユーザがコードを自由に配布し、利用し、改変できることを約束するものです。</p>

  37 <p>私たちは、ウェブの標準を遵守します。これは、「SIE」の互換性を保つための行動です。</p>
